Festival en el Barrio 2012

Tickets are onsale now for the 2012 Festival en el Barrio. Calexico will perform along with other musical guests Grupo Fantasma, Megafaun and Sergio Mendoza y la Orkesta.

This year’s Festival will be located at El Presidio near the Tucson Museum of Art!

Road Atlas 1998-2011 Vinyl Box Set

Calexico is proud to announce, Road Atlas 1998-2011, which collects the band’s 8 self-released tour albums in vinyl format for the first time ever (previously only available as CDs at Calexico’s live concerts). As described by journalist Fred Mills, “you hold what the members of Calexico describe as their Road Atlas, and as a kind of alternate musical history of the band, it makes for quite a trip.”

Excited to be once again be performing at the Rialto Theatre in Tucson for All Souls Day on November 6, 2011! The show will follow the annual All Souls Procession in Tucson and is being presented by Many Mouths, One Stomach as well as the Rialto.

Above video is the trailer for “Flor de Muertos,” partially recorded during 2010 All Souls Procession and featuring Calexico’s show from the same year – the film examines the the cross-cultural collisions regarding death along the US and Mexico border and features interviews by many artists from Tucson including good friend Salvador Duran.
